If Mr.A worked in a company(Private bank) for 1-1/2 yr.His appointment letter states "If you leave or discontinue your service in the bank without giving notice of 3 months(continous service without leave)", you will have to pay 3 months Pay & Allowance,in lieu of the notice period.
But it states nothing about the employer's notice period in case of termination.
Mr.A was terminated giving salary of 1 month in lieu of notice.
Is it just?? Also in this 1 month notice they have not paid HRA amount.

Notice period should be equal for both emploer & employee and it is intended for mutual benefit. Different N.P. may not have legal sanction which can be contested unless specifically not mentioned in the appointment letter.
