Can any one help me in the matter relating to ESIC. IF an employee online registration on ESIC website has been done and he has not gone to ESIC office for his photograph. Can we provide any help under ESIC if that person met with an accident.

Dear Arpita
The employee who is registered with the Employees' State Insurance Corporation online and he has not gone to ESI Office forhis photograph. Yes, he is entitled for benefits from the ESI Corporation under the provisions of the Act. He met with an accident and injuries are of temporary nature, direct him to get his photograph and/ or injuries are so serious nature then he must produced his temporary card signed by his employer with photograph then ESI department will give him treatment.
I hope that above will satisy the query, if you want to seek any other clarification your most welcome.

But if in case that person has already taken treatment from some hospital and as these people financially are not strong. can we help them in the reimbursement of that money may be not that amount but atleast few amount.

Dear Arpita
If any employee/ person has already taken treatment from some hospital and these people are not financially strong, yes we can help them on humanrian ground, but legally we as the management are not bound to give them any reinbursement of that money. Further, injured person cannot claim this amount from the ESI Corporation, if he is injured he can only go to the ESI Dispensery to get his further treatement and for encashment of medical leave only.

Dear Mukesh,
Thanks a Lot, your information about ESIC is very helpul for me.
I have one more query.
If for eg: a person is hospitalized due to heart attack and was hospitalized, right now he is on leave and taking rest at his home.
he can claim sick leave encashment from ESIC?
But their cards are not ready. however they are online registered.
Also, what is the procedure to take leave encahment from ESIC
Pls guide?

If an employee once got registered under ESIC act and the payments are being made under that particular person account , he will surely be eligible to get benefits under ESIC SCHEME, the employer can attest form37 with the company seal and attested family photo of that partcicular person.Inorder to get treatment in the esi hospital.

take 100page note book than stich employee photo graph on book and staple the ESIC on line filling form. ESIC will give him treatment. keep form no.37 signatirised by employer.
