Yes, it is the FACT, we people are spoiling our health as we are trying our best to achieve SUCCESS which is our major goal rather achieving HAPPINESS which is the GOAL of the GOALS.

Happy employees are most likely to make an organization successful one. However, 'Happiness' is subjective. Different people from different background have different requirements.

Can one apply the 80:20 rule here? Both, Salary as well as Good Working Environment form an essential pre-requisite for happiness at work.

While concept of Flexible working hours has arrived, at many a places punishment for late comers is a norm.

Putting powerful camera focused on individuals for monitoring continuously is seen at many offices. Staff making fun of camera is also common.

Such acts, which achieve little, set a tone of dissent and like two skewed lines never meet, the gap between management & staff widens only with almost every decision taken by the management viewed suspiciously.

Trust shown in employees goes a long way in developing happiness.

In my opinion, apart from Money & Perks, the Management instituting a responsible HR Department & listening to the professionals & having an 'Impartial Grievance Handling Cell' is a Non-fiscal yet effective way to have happy employees increasing chances of Success.
