Dear Seniors,
I am a MBA (HR) having 5+ years of industry experience in HR. Currently working with a growing IT company. I have heard about the PGCHRM course from XLRI conducted by Huges Global Education.
Need your suggestion on the course i.e. how this course will help me in my career enhancement.
Thanks & Regards,

Here are my suggestions for you:
- Be clear why you want to do this course? Is it that you need a premium certificate to propel ahead in your career? Or do you want to learn HR from the gurus who have created one of the best seats for learning? Do not stay disillusioned about the course. There might be a section of people who have gained financially post this certification. But your success will depend on how you learn, use your knowledge to generate values and how you market yourself as a talent.
- Speak to the HR's who hires laterals and not freshers. Take a cross section of people from large and small company to identify the market value. Remember, this data that you collect is relevant to the market that is now and a perceived one which is supposed to be in the years to come.
- Connect with the ones who have already done this course. You would find them through the centre where you want to enroll. Ask them for the contacts to thier ex-students. Talk to them and understand, what will be the takeaway from this course? How much effort and dedication does it require to finish this course? The hours of study and fees are easy to find. But get into the focus it requires to graduate. Only the ones who have completed it can share that. Check if you are emotionally and mentally prepared to take on such a challenge.
- My suggestion is, focus on learning. The market value is not a promise. But the intellectual development that you will have from this course is your real takeaway. Every course requires a definite amount of investment and an enormous amount of focus and dedication. This course will require you to study for endless hours, brain storm and create new realities with your intellectual development. Define a goal for yourself and keep it real. Don't imagine shooting your salary 100% just because of this certification. Rather be clear of what would you want to do once you are certified. Let the money and the market value become one of the results of your work.
Hope this helps you to think and work further.

Hi, what (Cite Contribution) has said has lot of meat to it. But yes this course is certainly better than the ones which are available in the market and that is why its is costliest among these types of courses with a good brand name.....its not easy to complete you would require courage, devotion and dedication to do the same. Its v. grilling ....
