We work our way , yet never seem to reach the top. What can be the possible reasons for that ? We put our efforts. We are good with problem -solving and help others with our knowledge , then what do we lack ? What is it that we are missing out as we work our way to the top .

Here 's an article that share how to establish oneself as an industry leader. The steps are doable . The best part is , we all do it , yet don’t put an organised effort which is why we miss our mark ! Here what we can easily try .

Keep Up-to-Date - Use knowledge bases such as CiteHR to update on what is new and what you have learnt so far .

Imparting Your Wisdom - To strengthen what you have learnt so far, disseminate as much as you can. Create your own learning university through Blog, social network knowledge management communities!

Build areas of expertise - while working on a daily basis, we miss what we are best at and spread ourselves too thin. Focus on the core strength or aim the area you would like to be reckoned as the leader and build on your knowledge.

To me , CiteHR is the platform where we can implement all these steps. When we create our profile, we make sure we learn and we build our own universities with knowledge-sharing ! We post questions and blog about what we have learnt so far. This way we can create value for everyone around us and establish ourselves as knowledge leaders !

Tell us what do you think

Hey thanks (Cite Contribution)..thats really nice and thanks for sharing this with us.
I have seen there are 17 view of this thread with no single reply. It is indeed sad that peoples have nothing to say while it does really matter for them and also for their career. It is important for everyone here to know this fact as this can help us to recognize our skills and have a chance to learn and how to defeat our problems and can improve our knowledge and skills
But I would like to offer my sincere thanks to you and to this cite.

Greetings,

Thanks to Anil, K. Ramachandran and Adeeb for the appreciation. We spend all our lives doing what we love. A focussed effort will create greater value for everyone around us. Hence the acknowledgment becomes a subset of this greater accomplishment. Our learning is complete only when we have enabled or empowered someone else. Mastery comes from creating systems around us.

Finally learning the art of presenting and establishing what we have learnt is important. We spend so much time on social networking. If only we round up all our accounts to the profile that we create here, it would establish us. For e.g.: we do use LinkedIn to share our professional credentials. If we link the personal profile page on CiteHR, it would present the kind of knowledge-sharing activates we do. It is one of the easiest ways to establish ourselves. Blogging here is another way of mastering what we have practised, as this community is very interactive. It brings us the fresh and insightful perspective of what we have learnt.

In short ....happy learning ....happy growing :)

Thanks for the opportunity to join this fomum. Every day & every action contributes to a learning experience, whether its in work experience or in university of life experiences. I do have a philosophy that although I have over 30 yrs experience in my field of work, I am not an EXPERT. An "Ex" is a "has been" and a "spurt" is a Drip under pressure. So I will rather be a SPECIALIST imy field. Look forward to contributing.
