Dear Sunilk80,
The ID and BIR act are local law applicable in Maharashtra. BIR act will not apply to all industeries in amharashtra and it applies to specified industery in specified area only. The BIR act may not cover entire industery but process. It all depends on the notification issued by state of Maharahstra.

Hi every body,
Thank sfor sharing the revision of teh wages in maharastra.
As per my knowledge, the recent revision is central wages and not state wages.
The state govt. site still has the same wages which was revised in July and is valid till dec. 2010. However the central wages sheet do confirm the revison from 1st Oct to March 2011.
Can any one confirm the same.
Regards
Suveer
