Hi,
I may not have any material to share right now but one of the exercises that you might do which helps in goal setting and hence achieving personal effectiveness. It goes like this:
1. Tell each participant to come up with a short term(2 years) and a long term goal (5 years) for both their professional and personal life. Like in professional life a two year goal may be to become a Manager and a 5 year goal may be to become an HOD while in personal life a 2 year goal may be to buy a car and a 5 year goal may be to get married and buy a house
2. Then give them tools like what would they do every day, every week, every month and every year so that they may achieve those goals.
3. This generally gives a lot of focus and improves their self effectiveness.
4. All of this must be captured on a worksheet for the participants as take away.
Hope this is useful and do let me know if this is useful and apart from this if you need any help in particular or specific area do let me know.

Pooja,
Personal effectiveness is about first balancing and then harmonising the 5 key different areas of our life. These areas can be remembered by using the acronym PRISM which means Physical, Relational, Intellectual, Spitirutal and Monetary or Financial.
Harmony between these areas is somehting that can work wonders.
Talk to your guys about developing themselves about exposing themselves to spending more time with their family about nurturing their important relationships in their lives.
They will be a little shocked to hear you talk like this maybe for about 5-10 minutes.
After that they, and each and every one of them will thank you for opening their eyes to that which is most important in their lives creating balance in their different roles that will give them a high on life and will enrich their emotional matrix that will help them live life to the fullest.
Pls let me know in case you should need more help

Personal effectiveness at work
Personal effectiveness means making the most at all personal resources at our disposal - our personal talents, energy and time relative to what's most important to us.
It is like money management or investment - we want to get the best return on our resources.
As with managing money, we can either drift through life making ad hoc decisions or we can set time aside periodically to review our investments.
It's not about sacrificing spontaneity or opportunism to be super organized if this is not your style.
It's more a matter of taking whatever steps fit your style to give you the feeling that you are making best use of your talents, energy and time.
Being successful is in the eyes of the beholder - for some it means having a satisfying personal life, for others it is some form of career success that drives them. The only right answer is the one that makes you happy.
Personal Effectiveness
Most people want to feel useful in their lives. They want to feel as though they are making a contribution of some kind.
If you're employed, then work is one of the more important places where you will want to feel useful, valued and appreciated.
When things are going well, your life feels effective and efficient and you're capable of handling whatever the workday throws at you.
However, when things are not going quite so well, when too many demands are made on your time and you can't seem to see what's needed, then you may begin to feel ineffectual, de-skilled and pretty useless.
On top of that, one of life's little ironies is that it only takes one small incident, one conflict, mistake or reprimand; something overlooked or a problem not sorted out to feel that everything you do is useless.
It's not true, but human nature being what it is, most people tend to focus on what's wrong rather than what's right.
When this happens, it's actually possible to feel so ineffectual that you become ineffectual.
This is how negative reinforcement happens.
In other words, one blip may create just that much extra stress that the rest of your work is affected; and then one blip, one small error or mistake, turns into many and you really do become a liability.
In reality all those skills and abilities you have when things are going well don't go away, they just go to ground for a while.
The trick is to get them back again before it all goes 'pear shaped'.
Knowing what you do well, what you can rely on, what qualities you have are essential to maintaining your personal effectiveness.
Being able to identify what makes you feel aligned, motivated and energised will also reinforce and build your confidence, so that when those blips come along (and they will), you can deal with them effectively.
