Dear Rajeev,
First thing is that in which field (IT, Finance, Marketing) are you planning to set up your career? The reason behind is that the comments would be lot but the interest for you matters. Again the relevant module for yours would be,
IT - BASIS, ABAP & PS
Finance - FICO/FI
Marketing - SD, MM & BI
Again you shall still check with web for upgraded/updated modules. Anyway all the best!

Hi Rajeev,
I would suggest you to equip with some more domain experience before switching to core SAP industry; its required once you become a certified consultant and while encountering clients your domain knowledge would be tested, failing a strong domain experience and knowledge, its a trend in IT industry that people are either in bench or switching companies.
Well as per your qwery n domain m listing all the combination of domain and relevant SAP modules.
BE in Electronics SAP BASIS, ABAP
MCA, IT person BASIS, ABAP, XI , NetWeaver
BE in Mechanical SAP MM, PP, QM, PS
BE in Electronics SAP BASIS, ABAP
MBA In Finance SAP FI-CO
MBA in Sales SAP SD
MBA in HR SAP HR
Good Luck.
