i think HR himself is reponsible to motivate.. himslf..
dont b surprised let c the basic responsibilties of an HR is to motivate his emplyees and retain the best talents under one roof.. and if he succeed to retain the best talent ultimately he will hav a self satisfaction that he has done his job with utmost dedication.. and that itself is enough to motivate him to become the best HR who has got the caliber to retain the HR (human resource/employee managemant) of his firm...

Yes this is prime duty and responsibility of HR deptt. to motivate their staff members to stop attrition rate, to make them comfortable.
For that you can organise monthly get to gather. In that birthday can be celebrated for those whose birthday is falling in that particular month, new joinee's introduction can be done. Apart from that some in house games can be organised i.e musical chair, tambolla or quiz.

I don't think that would be too important for a person to think of getting motivated who actually motivates others. If that is in-self, no worries. Always try to practice what you preach.

yes, HR runs on its own rechargeable batteries and at times gets recharged with his or her own power, in the form of experiences, bad or good.

If he or she thinks to be an HR he has to understand the top most duties and responsibilities and understand that he is an HR, he is an example for all the employees...so the best person who can motivate an hr is himself....sometimes when HR lands up in a great company his director also plays a major roles in motivating his hr..... but for that he has to be very lucky to get into such an organisation.

I think HR People should be motivated by themselves. An organization can also help them by organizing Traning Schedules time to time, which will enhance their skills as well as their expertise and will motivate them ultilmately. Thus it will result in the motivation of the whole organization.
