Deciciveness. A leader should have the capability to take decisions in the intrest of the team and the courage of conviction to take ownership for the decision irrespective of the outcome.

Dependability. A leader should be dependable. His superiors and subordinates should be able to depend on him to deliver.

Flexibility. A leader should be flexible, in that he should have a dynamic thought process to deal with unforeseen circumstances/changed situation.

Humility. A leader sould be humble. His team should be able to associate themselves with him.

Integrity. A leader should display integrity of the highest order and set examples for his team to emmulate.

Justice. A leader should be just and decide on awards/punishments on actual performance rather than hearsay/psycophancy.

Proffessional Competence. A leader should be proffessionaly competent. Only then can he get the work out of his team mates.
