Dear All,
i have doubts in ESIC can any one clarify me, the following are the my questions
1) Do we contribute the ESI deduction for employees whose ESI wages exceed the 10,000/- at any time after the beginning of the ESIC Contribution period?
2) Do we contribute the ESI deduction for employees who transferred from ESI coverage area to ESI non coverage area at any time after the beginning of the ESI contribution period?

If the wages exceed Rs 10000 after contribution period commenced you have to deduct and contribute ESI till that contribution period is over.
In respect of an employee transferred to non implemented area no contribution is payable.

Dear all,
1. as per my point of view , deduction of ESI contribution must be stopped when wages of an employees increases more than 10,000/- in a month. he can be placed under mediclaim policy or accident policy.
2. in this case ESI of an employees must be stopped immediately and an employees can be given civil hospital benefits and bills can be reimbursed by the employer.

The post is old and by the time the ESI salary ceiling has been increased to Rs 15000. Therefore, please read Rs 15000 wherever Rs 10000 is written.
Let me say that in case an employee's salary becomes more than Rs 15000 in between a contribution period, say, in May, he should continue to contribute till the contribution period ends, ie, till September. That means when his salary increases beyond Rs 15000, we can not stop contribution immediately.
