Hi friends,
I'm working one of the India's top IT company and my current CTC is 4.7 lak/anm. Now I got a offer from another IT company, I produced fake payslip of 7.4 lak/anm and my new CTC will be 9 lak/anm. Now anyone please clear me 1) will there be any problem? (will my new employer verify the payslip against my bank account transactions)
Assume that my fake payslip was prepared well and no contradiction in the figures.
Thanks,
Rajan

Dear Rajan
Whether the fake payslip was prepared well or new employer does not verify with bank or ex-employer, this is still cheating! Please do not even consider this route as the consequences will haunt you for a long time!

I agree Jane this is cheating, do you suggest me that I can get same CTC (9 lak/anm) by negotiating with HR.

Ask the question can you sleep with the thought of being found out and not only losing your job but also being branded a liar and black listed.
I remember an old adage that my fater used to quote "He who lies and lies to hide it makes it two". And then one has to keep on doing it and develop a chain of lies.
Have a nice day.

Dear Rajan
Negotiation is definitely a good option to move forward. However, the new employer may have constraints as they need to balance internal and external equities.
So do your homework first; is your new job similar or bigger in accountability as compared to your old job; be prepared to accept a lower package (how low are you willing to go, but of coruse not lower than your current package but your planned CTC of 9 lak/anm) but with confirmation adjustments when your performance meets expectations.

This is totally not good to fake ur pay slip, most of the HR personnels verify with previous employers if they doubt/found any mis information.
Better to negotiate with ur talent and their requirements. If they feel ur needed they would definetly hire u.
But dont fake.

Hi Rajan,
As I am not much experienced to give you any advice but being in HR feels like this practise is very common these days ,don't very they will just check with your ex-hr only.So if you have good links with them take them into your confidence.
And don't worry at all no body will gona say you anything on this be confident.May god helps you to prove yourself.

check out your new company that whether they are very much in to reference checking or not...! if they are very easy going like most of IT companies are then your fake will make no problem, but if they do reference checking very properly then be prepared, they may dismiss your appointment or decrease your salary.
wish you best of luck, but next time don't follow the wrong direction it will always keep you in trouble.

Hey Dear,
This is a common practice in Financial services companies, pharma too....but smart HR managers generally confirm from the references and HR. I share one of the experience of my ex-colleague. When he attempted for a interview in a organization, the HR gentlemen said "please provide me your last salary slip, bt remember it shouldn't be fake.."..
So this was a simple technique HR follows....to pump the fear of been fired....
In your case company can fire you legally any time, if they found your salary slip is fake...
I m too young in this field to guide you...Seniors plz guide....
