Recently to be announce ESI corporation has introduce Biometric card with usage effect from coming August 2010.
Highlights of Biometric car
  • All IP(Insured Person) will be issued with two magnetic cards, one for the IP & the other for family members.
  • Central database will be created with demographic and biometric details of IP and their families.
  • IP and their famil members can avail treatment in any ESI hospital or dispensary across India
  • Biometric details (finger prints) to verify and autheticate IP and their families through card swipe.
  • Employers can submit their return of contribution online.
  • Employers can collect information on employees benefit availed by respective employees online
  • One time registration , Employee will carry forward with same set of cards every time they change employment.
  • Duplication of enrolment

Is Dental treatment is covered under "ESIC act? is medicines in ESI hospital are distributed free of charge.I am presentluy working in a factory from last six months.Shall i avail a benifit of dispensary.?
