KCR, You will need to ask yourself and answer a number of questions first. Some of these are:
-What rewards are most meaningful for your employees? –money, recognition, awards?
-How are employees currently rewarded?
-What is your company’s budget for the new system?
-Will rewards be conditional on overall company performance?
-How is employee performance currently evaluated?
-How should employee performance be evaluated?
No rewards and recognition program operates in a vacuum. What is best for your company depends on what went before and your organization’s context. The above questions will hopefully help you think through what is best for your company.
