Dear Tanvi,
5 to 10% would be great on his basics. Also if you do not have medical cover for him and his family pls include that as well. For salary revision, I suggest you go through the attachment, and hope that is helpful.

hey thanks a lot UKmitra for such a quick response.
Also if u can suggest me the standard pay structure in ITES in terms of experience and qualification (ex for web designer, system analyst, sales mbas, btech , etc).
As this is a small org where i have been working for past 6months, now have to propose for salary increments in march appraisal.
Waiting for your inputs.

Hey Tanvi,
The job that you are doing is termed "Compensation and benefits Planning" which ideally is done with lot of research and would not be available off the shelf. So, you will have to do a lot of ground work and home work. The attachment that I shared gives just steps to start with. There is no standard pay structure for any company. All companies based on their capacity and profitablity and ability to retain best talents fix their salaries.
I would work on Compensation for staff based :
1.Budget allocation.
2.Salary comparision by competitors.
3.Appraisals
These are just few steps, and I hope you get more feedback from other experts as well.

Dear Mr. Tanvi,
You can adopt and implement minimum wages act for the drivers as per the State and District Administration rules, and comparatively if his services is longer, you can fix maximum category Like A grade instead of C Grade and put 5% increase in his basic wages. Like other employees are covered in ESI, you can also cover him in ESI. He can also be covered in Medical and Accident Insurance for himself.
If the business firm is running in good profit and big firm, you can also extend him family mediclaim along with entire employees which will support the family and the organisation will grow people friendly.
