Hi

I kindly want suggestion from all HR professionals about some queries.

Dear i have done MSW now i am working in a National funding agency (Rural development) on three year contract. This is my 2nd year. I am getting here good salary, but future in NGO sector as i heard and see is not so good, salary is the main problem there. I want to come in HR sector.

Does my experience in rural development sector will help me in HR ?

Is this the right time to quit the job in recetion ? or I should wait for few more months ?.

I am from chandigarh, but presently working in Delhi. What is the condition of HR Jobs in Chandigarh ?.

Please guide me as a fresher what things should i keep in mind while applying for a job and any other suggestion which may be i not mention here.

Regards

Dear Satnam
I am sorry to disappoint you. I can't answer the question about the situation in Chandigharh, as I have been ot of India for decades.
However, if you are moving into HR only for salary, think it over. You should feel passionate about a field before you change your field. I switched over from Industry to academia, as I felt passionate about educationg others. Money in teaching is always less than in other fields, though we get more free daus.
