Future of Recruiting
In the 90’s print advertisement ruled recruitment marketing. Other than Referral program print ads were the only viable option. In the 2000’s with internet taking the world by storm – recruiting adopted the electronic processing method. Job posting, receiving resume by email & subscribing to resume database providers helped recruiters reach out to a much wider market.

Come 2010, receiving resume by email & processing them is going to be obsolete. Recruitment industry is heading towards a massive change yet again. This time around Web 2.0 (the social media, feeds, aggregation, subscriptions, bookmarks, blogs & forums) will take over.
Pl let me know your Comments.

Hi Poonam,
You are right. Most of the companies have started using Social Recruiting. But still the quantum of recruitment through Social Recruiting is negligible. In the near future we are going to see an explosion of Social Recruiting across the Globe.

I guess Web 2.0, will lead an important element in the arena of future of recruitment. As cellphone are handy to everyone, I feel cellphone too will add new flavor to build recruitment process more flexible and reachable.
Since, Employee-to-Employee reference will also have crucial role to play and will add more transparency.
