Hello All, I am a newbie to HR and I would like to know about the HR growth pattern. What are the different levels or positions that one can attain in the HR also wanted to know the ideal time that one would take to reach each level.

Could not understand what you want to ask.. The growth of HR or HR personnel
It is like any other department having positions from HR Assistants to VP-HR or Director - HR depending on the type of industry and size of the company.
As for the ideal time for each level.... again it depends on the structure of the organization. But ideally a person should get a promotion every 3-4 years... [shorter period in some industries] Better performing persons get promotions much faster. so what might be ideal for me might be too slow for somebody else and too fast for some other person...

hey....i think the HR manager can also be promoted to become a Factory manager
it did take place at GPI...(dunno how or y)
maybe its an exception...but i guess its possible in small family organisations
