Respected All,
I have just completed 'Executive Diploma in HRM' from Nirma University. I am having approx 10+ years experience in Semi HR kind of job in managerial level. I now want to pursue further studies in the field of HR.
Since I am doing a full time job please suggest me whether I should go for MBA with HRM specialization from Sikkim Manipal, ICFAI or IGNOU? Does this degree have any value? Will I be able to get a core HR job after that?
I also request you to guide me whether Post Graduate Diploma's in HRM (Distance Learning) awarded by Narsee Monjee or Symbiosis are equivalent to MBA?
Request seniors to guide me for my future career prospects.
Regards
Himanshu

Hi
Sorry for the delay!
You have great experience (10 years), so I dont think i can suggest you but let me share my opinion. You have to decide the course based on your objective that you have. ICFAI, IGNOU and Symbiosis, all are very good and having international validity but in the first two universities pass percentage is very less, it is approxmately 12% only.
If you have any idea to enter in to manufacturing industy think about diplomos relating to labour laws.
Thanks and Regards

Hi Harry,
Thank you very much for your valuable guidance. In fact I am currently in semi HR function which supports marketing so I would try to rather get in to Marketing HR.
With 12% passouts did you refer to 'Distance learning'? As I cant go for full time studies now. I have to do either a Distance learning course or I have to do some sort of weekend / Sunday courses for which options are too less.
I wanted to know whether the Distance learning MBA degree from ICFAI, Sikkim Manipal or Ignou have a value? Or a PG Diploma in HRM from Narsee Monjee or Symbiosis carry a more brand value? Plz advice further.
Thanks once again for your response. You are one who atleast responded to my requests. I am indebted.
Thanks again.

Dear Friends,
I am citeHR Member. I am diploma holder in Electronic and Communication Engineering. I have been functioning in Managerial Cadre for the last 10 years. But my carrer growth is restricted due to qualification. I want to do MBA distance learning directly without doining BBA . Is there any university which could encourage considering my experience.
Please advise me
Thanks,

Hi Himanshu!
I was talking about distance mode only. ICFAI and IGNOU both are having different kind of examination system which is not that usual. For that reason pass percentage is in between 12 to 16% only. You can definitely go for Symbiosis diploma.I strongly recommend not to go for Sikkim Manipal.
Hi Murugan,
There are very few universities that offer PG with out asking for bachlor degree. There is one Rajastan based university, i dont remember the name exactly, that universty used to offer PG with (lateral entry concept). let me find out, if I get it I will let you know.
Thanks and Regards
