dear sir/madam,
please clarify that whether a trainee is eligible for payment of gratuity or not who died during his training period. as per our service conditions a person who joins as a trainee is absorbed in the regular pay scale after successful completion of training in particular cadre. the deceased person was in training at the time of his death.
please respond as soon as possible.
thanks & regards,

dear mr rajiv
ifany employee dies in the course of employment ,he is entitle to get gratuity.now question comes whether trainee is your emplyee or not.if someone hired trainee under the apprentice act 1961 and registration is done with apprentice advisor than you can say he is trainee or apprentice and in this condition only he will not be yor employee
otherwise it is eyewash to give designation of trainee.he is your regular employee and all benefit will be given to him.
tks

Dear Sir,
Actually The Deceased Was Selected For Certain Post As A Trainee. But He Was Not Regular Employee Of The Co. Further As Per Service Condition, On Successful Completion Of Training, Trainees Are Absorbed On Regular Pay Scale Of The Company. In Training Period They Are Only Entitled For Stipend. And The Said Training Period Is Also Not Considered For Promotion Purpose.
Please Suggest In This Case The Deceased Is Eligible For Payment Of Gratuity Or Not.
Thanking You,

From India, Bhilai
