I am currently pursuing Master's of Human Resources and Organisation Development from Delhi School of Economics, Delhi University.
As a part of the course I am required to do a dissertation on the "Latest Trends in Training and Development". I have chosen no industry in particular and am looking at identifying interesting and unique practices in various organisations.

Industry: Manufacturing segment. The current challenge in a traditional manufacturing set up is to have eLearning accepted at each desk.
People still believe eLearning (and Training) is a one time activity and this will be taken IF they have nothing else to do.
Hence elements like educational gaming help them get engaged in the learning process and see the reults. Then they appreciate it much more.
Need for gaming in learning came up because of such challenges.
