Hi! All,
I am Masters of Commerce with specialisation in HRM and am also pursuing MBA(HR) from Symbiosis, Pune (distance learning).
I am presently working in a recruitment consultancy firm who do only head hunting.
I am expected to be in USA after couple of years.
I wish to know what kind of job profile should i accept so that i can get a good job opportunity there. And also the scope of HR in USA.
Kindly guide me as early as possible. :?
Awaiting reply,

Dear Reshma,
Anything you do and you are good at will fetch you good jobs in the market. For U.S it is a vast country with each State having it's own demand.
Two things:
1) You need to get a Work Permit to get employment in US. This work permit will decide what jobs you are eligible to do
2)Check if your experiences and qualifications qualifies you to get a work permit as per your choice.
I presume you are going to US after marriage. Usually to travel with your Spouse US allows Dependant Visa with which you are not eligible for any employment. To, get employment you need to apply separately.
For further queries contact your local U.S Consulate.

Hi Reshma
I would suggest you to look for a US staffing company which works from India.
Its nothing but very similar structure like the consultancy who call up people on US and place them there. See if you have any such sort of company in your place... Try to get into it or headhunt someone from that place who could help you better.
Hope you could do a headhunting for one of my requirement. Let me know if you can.

Raj

I am in New York in the USA and have a BS in Human Resources Management. I am an HR manager in a bilingual environment and do enjoy what I do.
My advise to you is that in order to be successful in the HR field here you absolutely must keep up with your education as it is a requirement in the US. There is a high demand for professionals but it is competitive.
I have been attending as many seminars and affiliated myself with as many business groups as I could. I do a great deal of volunteer work which both allows me to help others and gain experience also.
I truly hope you find what you are looking for and wish you all the best.

Dear Reshma,
Don't think of the Job Profile,U make That job profile as your dream job profile by working with a positive attitude .
Remember, "-" minus has only a single bar but "+" plus has 2 bars .
It means that whatever the profile may be convert it into positive .
Take Care ! Best of luck for your positive Career .
