Dear All,
I am working in an upcoming manufecturing industry presently we are under construction phase. The area where this industry is located is not covered under ESI. Presently we do not have any provision of providing insurance cover to the employees. Please do suggest me what kind of insurance cover we can provide to our employees as a welfare measure and what would be the financial implication for providing such cover.
Also please share your views about mediclaim policies how these policies works and how employees could be benefitted from these policies.

Dear Vijay Shankar,
If your unit is not covered under the ESI Act, than the workman's Compensation Act is applicable on your unit.
You can go for the unnamed Insurance policy under the Workman's Compensation Act.
In this Policy you have to give the maximum number of the workman's to be employed and their wages to the Insurance Company for the purpose of the coverage.

Dear vijay shankar
you go for unnamed insurance policy to cover workman compensation and also
personal accident insurance policy. The perosnal accident insurence policy can be taken
in individual name. This will take care of hospital expenses.

Dear Malik,
Thanks for your valuable suggestion. I will certainly go for that. One doubt the cost of premium will be deducted from the salary of employees or it should be done by the employer. Please tell me.
