Dear Learned Friends,
Request your advise. In our company (Software) employees are eligible for 12 days of Annual /Earned Leave, one year from date of joining.
What is the earned leave eligibility for women employees who proceed on maternity leave. Are they eligible for 12 days Earned leave in the following year (we normally credit earned leaves in January every year) after availing maternity leave of 6 months. Currently we are crediting them with 12 days EL. Can we continue that or reduce the ELs. on prorata;
Thanks

Maternity leave on probation period depends on Company Policies. If your paid leave starts at the time of probation period then you can take.

A daily rated employee is working and paid around 24 to 25 days in a month excluding sundays and holidays. Shall the maternity benefit be calculated/paid 25 days in a month or full 30 days. If we pay full 30 days in a month then she gets more salary as compared to working persons within this particular period.
