Hi,
I want to know in detail about ESIS.
How one person will get the benefit of ESIS if he is eligible for the same.. I have gone through the website but still not able to clear myself. As many employees are telling that although we are under ESIS but still we are not able to get the benefit of it properly. it is useless.
Please help me out to solve my problem..

Dear Prajakta,
ESIS is applicable if
1) Your office fromwhere yur salary is process is covered under ESIc implemented area.
2) First time, if 10 employees are having Rs. 15000 of less salary per month (i.e. in simple meaning earning side of yuor regular salary slip) during last twelve months.
3) then it remains applicable forever, evenif your office has no eligible employee (i.e. Rs. 15000 salary per month), you have to comply as per the act (like bloodpressure once it detected, one has to take pills evenif his pressure is normal)
4) To provide benefit and comply as per the act, establishment has to take ESIC code from ESIC regional office.(now a days it is 17 digit code for online operations)
5) collect the declaration forms from eligible employees
6) upload on the same on the ESIC site (ESIC) and generate TICs
7) Give to employees and ask them to go to nearby local office with the dependant family and process for pahechan card
and thus one can get the benefits of ESIC.
