What happened so far is past. People leaving then and it is quite usual in the tech and knowledge industry.

It is very important to know the real objective of a person joining your organization. No doubt, there would be a good fit while considering the job description and job specification but he/she is a human, and human thoughts and behavior keep on changing. So apart from compensation and benefits, ultimately the interest in doing something, professional behavior, attitude, and a couple of more personal qualities can make a big difference. For example, if you are hiring a greedy person, you can not guarantee his/her service as another lucrative offer may force the person to end the contract, anytime.

An employment agreement refers to an agreement between an employer and the employee. The agreement specifies all the core terms of the employment and gets negotiated after hiring. Employment agreements legally bind both parties once it is signed. An employment agreement defines terms and conditions are:

1. Duties
2. Pay rate
3. Benefits
4. Job procedures
5. Termination requirements
6. Confidentiality

A breach of an employment agreement occurs when either involved fails to perform their duties. An example of this would be an employer failing to pay the wages mentioned in the contract. Another common breach of the employment agreement occurs when the employer terminates the employee in a way that violates the terms of their agreement.

If an employee breaches their contract terms, you should try to resolve the matter informally. Go with legal action as your last resort. But if the situation calls for it, you can raise the issue to the courts.

In this case, the damages can get awarded for any financial loss the employee has caused. Some of the most common employee contract breaches are:

1. Quitting work without serving the notice period.
2. Leaving to work for a competitor if your contract disallows it.
3. Failing to carry out duties.

This is why it is essential to opt for a well versed policy (employee agreement) within the organization. Incase of breach or infringement there is a certain law that an employee needs to follow to take required action against any such illegal breach. It is a punishable offence. Which is why the employee responsible for it may face major consequences.
