I would like to share a issue in marketing field there is a running and dangerous team circulating by targeting all startups. This team is in india who are located in different locations. Thay join one by one after joining they ask is there any post free for my friend. 2 members has original certificate and one person is totally fake. First they will agree to each and every term of company after joining they will degrade the company value in market with there own techniques. They will not even get 1 sale but they will demotivate the leads. As it is a startup they will blackmail you. How can we over come with new rules and regulations.

Back Ground Verification Checks, References and previous experience certificates can be done.
Non disclosure agreement and service Bond agreements can be implemented.
Apart from this KPI AND KRA to be implemented for each employee in their work performance domain.
Weekly Quarterly and monthly reviw of work to be monitored.
Strict adminstrative measures be implemented in respect of Hiring.
Company must formulate a standard Policy and assign responsibilities to managers to ensure policies are followed.

Dear member,
This is in addition to what Mr Bijay Majumdar has written.
I consider this a recruitment challenge. How to filter the unwanted candidates is the strength of the recruitment process in general and further filtration is the strength of the interviewing skills.
The essence of interviewing lies in understanding the mindset or attitude of the candidate. However, to understand the mindset or approach towards the life of the candidate, the interviewer must master the art of questioning techniques. Not that the interviewers do not ask the questions, however, much depends on the quality of the questions.
The trouble with the owners of the startup is that they operate on a shoestring budget. Above all, they also think that they know everything about operations, marketing, finance, HR and so on. Anyway, if they live in the regime of their notions, then nothing can be done.
The challenges of the start-up you have mentioned are not new. Recently, on this forum, there was a post of a fresher taking the company for a ride. There was yet another case where the owner had problems with the pregnant employee.
Anyway, thanks for highlighting the problems while running a start-up.
Thanks,
