Yes sir
In the 5th year 240days are enough for the payment of Graduity.
First everyone should know the meaning of Graduity .
It is the regard and gratitude shown by the company towards it's employees. Payment guidelines are only for reminding the courtesy of the company. I saw some companies pay their employees beyond above than existing norms of PG. Act.
So think liberally not to go letter by letter of the Act.
Think liberally in paying to your workers...
Recently gratuity limit time is reduced from 5yrs to 2yrs by central government on process of amending the Act.

Dear Umakanthan Sir,
Thanks for your response.
I respect your view even though the same is contradictory to my point of views.
Further I repeat it, I never dis-respected or dis-regarded the views of other learned members. Only thing, I was putting forwards my point of views logically. But when we have to consider more favourable interpretation ensuring the employment benefits, we have to think liberally and not to go letter by letter of the Act as stated by our learned friend Gannahope.
