-At any pointof time in between the contract period, you reserve rights to terminate the contract agreement even without any reasons
-1ce your resign, the contract gets terminated & your exit formalities has to be followed.
-if co., fails to react appoint a lawyer & exit the co.,
Its damn easy with help of a lawyer. Not so difficult.

Advocate is right; you can take legal action. However, beware; even the lawyer cannot prevent your employer giving you a true exit certificate on the lines I have mentioned.

Hi,
Would advice that you come clean and say that you found a better opportunity. Given that you are ready to pay the penalty, the team should give you a normal relieving letter.
If you continue to stick to your 'medical' reason, the company may give you a normal relieving but can mess up your background check.

I strongly second Ayush Pal, considering your medical certificate assume that the company gives you a relieving letter with a clean chit stating relieved on medical ground, but if your new employer ask for your relieving letter or a BGV, you will be in a fix, so it is advisable to state the exact reason for leaving the job, if the company is good enough they will relieve you as per the termination/penalty clause. Wish you all the best.
