The practice of asking for Facebook password is wrong
You should refuse to give it and in fact reconsider whether you should join such a company.
Facebook has, in the USA, already issued statements (in court, believe), that the practice is unacceptable and unfair labour practice. Further, they have stated that giving your Facebook password is an offence under the Facebook user terms (we all signed it when opening a fb account) as it allows someone to pretend to be you (mascarade). It is an offence under most country laws to use a fake name to engage in online activity (as distinct from a screen name / avatar). It can actually lead to criminal liability both for the user and the HR manager concerned under Information Technology act 2000

Hello Gurgaon HR,
This is a very intriguing posting.
Taking it lightly the converse is very popular.
Those working in the same office become Husband and Wife !!
Let us now come to the serious part.
The serious part comes after marriage ( as always !!!).
A greater understanding and adjustment is required if they
continue to work in the same organization.
For trivial matters also people would point out to relationship as the reason.
Added to the family pressures at home circling around Children, Kith & Kin and
relatives there could be a backlash in the office / home.
It may not be uncommon for the spouse to get a pressure through the better half
in official matters. These have to be carefully handled.
The sacred relationship may also be attributed as a reason, at times and it
might overlook genuine merit.
