As per the CLRA ACT 1970, The Principal Employer needs to obtain the Contract Regn Certificate, if the Labourers deployed by the contractor are more than 20. If the deployed laborers are less than 21, no RC is required. Does it still hold good?
Can any of our Esteemed Readers update us on the above?

The requirement was 20 or more contract workers deployed in an establishment. It was not less than 21 it was more than 20

The number has since been increased to 50.
So now in Karnataka (and more other states), you need a contract labour license if the contractor has more than 50 workers at a single establishment and the establishment needs to register when it has 50 or more contract workers in total
