Greetings! I am a Recruitment Consultant with 13 yrs of experience, however, for the last 6 yrs, I have been working as an Independent Contractor for International companies based in the US and Europe. I am at a stage where I would like to get registered as an Independent Contractor legally in India are there any ways I can do it or is it possible?

I am not sure what you mean...

You may operate as a proprietory oranisation or you may form an LLP. Form a company if the volume of work will be really large because the cost of keeping a company running is expensive.

If you want to form an LLP, you can do so on the MCA website. You will need a CA/ CS to help with some of the procedure. Once that is done, get a PAN Card under the LLP name

Apart from that, the only other requirement is that if your turnover will be over ₹ 20 lakhs, you need to register under GST.
