Hello Sir/Madam, I have recently got a job offer as a result of which I have decided to put down my papers. However, my notice period is 3 months. I cannot serve the entire notice period as it is too long a time for my future employer to wait. In this case, can I serve a notice period of 1.5 months and get the remaining 1.5 months amount deducted from my full and final settlement.

Dear Friend,
You have the offer of appointment, yet, joined and got appointment order, as is the fact from your alphabet get discuss the same with the employer and finalise the order (appointment order), this is a mutual understanding in between the employee and the employer, in case, streamlined companies the procedure never come into act as they have clear procedures followed.
Things depends on the company/organisation you are going to join/got offer of appointment.
