Hi, My organisation follows bell curve/180 appraisal process. I need to conduct the workshop for new employees who are at appraiser level. Please suggest few ideas which can be used?

Dear Satyadhanyasi,
Performance Appraisal (PA) is part of Performance Management System (PMS). However, each employee has role in implementation of the PMS. Therefore, training cannot be just restricted to the appraiser. What about appraisee? What if he/she refuses to take the feedback in right earnest? What if there are disagreements?
If PMS has flaws, then these systematic flaws are assigned to the people and it creates conflict. Therefore, far from conflict, you need to take care to ensure that PA does not begets demotivation or disgruntlement.
PMS is very comprehensive subject. Feel free to call on mobile and I shall explain to you the challenges.
Thanks,
Dinesh Divekar
