Ours is a Engineering Industry situated at Maharashtra state and covered under factories Act. We have engaged security guards on annual contract basis I.e. fixed period, the same are not engage through contractor within the framework of the Contract Labour (R & A) Act.
Recently the Govt. Labour Officer has visited factory and put remark to pay them minimum wages of schedule employment of Factories under Fy. Act (Residuary). However, the industry is falls under schedule employment of Engineering Industry, therefore I think we should pay minimum wages of Engineering Industry not Factories under Fy. Act (Residuary).
Advice please.
