Hi All, My question is with reference to the formula stated above- W x Y x 15/26. The 15 days salary is the gross salary or net salary that we are talking about? Or its Basic+DA? Thanks

Gratuity= {(Basic+DA)/26}x 15X No. of completed yrs. of service and 6 months excess part thereof. Subject to a max ceiling of Rs. 10 lakh. Payable on superannuation,resignation/retirement, death/disablement. Eligibility is at least 5 yrs. service. However, recent judgment says 4 months & 240 days is enough for claiming gratuity.
