Section 7A of EPF and MP Act, 1952 deals with determining money due from employer.
In case the EPF amount is not paid or paid short to the wages of employees or some period if not paid by the employer, the EPF authorities will issue notice by calling Registers/records/Balance sheet etc. to inquire and assess the amount payable by the employer.
They are having quasi judicial power in this process.

Section 7A of EPF and MP Act, 1952 if pf amount is deducted tu employees & not submited to the same account of members then its comes under Section 7A of EPF. Regards Tejbhan pandey

Dear Sanjali,
Sec 7 A of EPF deals with Money due from employer.It means the employer has deducted the contributions and the same has not remitted with in the timelines under the provisions of EPF Act -1952. The dept send notices to the employer u/s 7 Q & 14 B i.e.interest & damages for belated payments to the said period. If the employer does not respond or remit the same, the dept will held enquiry under section 7 A to recover the amount of dues from the employer.
