Dear all,
I am working for an MNC in the operations department.
We are given 5 optional offs out of all to opt.
On the festival days, even if we opt for leave, That is being declined saying, It is Business as usual day. Even we are made to work on National holidays saying business as usual day.
It has been mandatory to streatch for over time for atleast 2hrs everyday.
Job is necessary for me, but I'm working for my family, I'm kind of being away from my family though with them due to these policies.
If we take any leaves, paid/annual leaves, they are considered as negatives and we see the attendance being marked as RED/Not meeting.
are there any Indian labour policies that come in handy to talk to HR? how to deal with this situation ?
how to deal with mandatory overtime? how tat can be answered ?
I seek your guidance in this as I want to rebuild my familial relationships and to repair the wrecked policies of leaves here.

Dear Felishag
Please confirm your location correctly. You are enquiring about the Indian Labour Policies and in your id the location is mentioned as Ireland.
You state that your company is MNC, So they might have registered your company under Shops and Commercial Establishments Act of the Indian state where it located. Hence you can report the matter to Labour Office of your district, so that they will come and verify the correctness and the attendance registers/salary register and other relevant documents. If they found your complaint is correct then surely they will take necessary action on your application and your all the staff will get relief on Holiday/Leave Policy.
