Hi,
I have recently joined a new company where I am the first HR employee. I am suppose to work on hiring formalities such as appointment letter and salary break up. Please help me with it.
Also, what is the difference in agreement letter and appointment letter, as terms and conditions are also mentioned in appointment letter. Is it mandatory to offer agreement letter in a small company?

Dear Friend Anonymous,
Appointment letter and agreement letter is the same thing.
Appointment letter is an agreement between employer and employee where employee work as per terms and conditions listed along with the letter of appointment. Issuing appointment letter is compulsory for the employer. In some way, issuing appointment letter is a good practice as an employee cannot say about a specific terms and condition that he didn't know as it was mentioned in the 'letter of appointment'.
Warm regards,
