Dear All,
First of all, sorry for not contributing on forum from a long time. Actually I changed my organization & was very busy in the new one.
Now, I would like to request you all to please help me & let me know about the “Safety for LPG manifold”. If somebody is having IS 6044, which has two parts part-1 & Part-2, please share. I’ll be indebted. I checked the earlier threats on forum but could not get proper information.
Please help me, it's urgent.
Regards,

Dear Inderjeet Sir,

We faced lot of trouble while LPG manifold work was under progress in our industry as i have no previous experience on subject of LPG manifold safety.I search and gather lot many information in terms of legal as well as safety for LPG manifold.Relevant IS code for LPG manifold is available with me, which i can forward you in evening as it is in my personal PC at home. Please give your email Id.

IMPORTANT to Look from Safety points:

- LPG manifold construction should be done only by authorized vendor, which is approved by govt. gas company by which you are taking LPG cylinders ( IOCL/ HPCL/ BP) for that you can approach to your local gas company office.

- Emergency shut off v/v should be available at out side of the kitchen, which is easily accessible in any emergency.

- Construction of LPG manifold room should be concrete /fire wall with bottom ventilation, door shall open at outside, electrical fitting flame proof.

- Soap leak test to be performed by authorized vendor in presence of local gas authority officer before charging.

- Periphery of LPG manifold drain should not be available.

- Caution board to be displayed with hazcem code, emergency no. of local gas authorities, fire brigade etc.

- Fire extinguisher to be kept along with fire bucket near to the LPG manifold.

-Training to users must be done in regular interval.

Hope above information and document which i send you in evening would be useful for you.
