Dear All,
Greetings for the day!
Please guide me on OT calculation according to shop and establishment act Goa.
1) I want to know if gross salary is taken in consideration or basic+ DA for OT calculation
2) According to shp & Estb act Goa maximum no of hours a employee can work without OT is 8 hours per day and 48 hours per week.
If in a organization normal working hours is 9 hours per day which include 1 hour break and normal working days is 6 days a week.
I want to know what is the extended time including break time for which employee can work without overtime
3) According to Goa Shp & Est Act no of hours which can be extended including OT hours should not be more then 12 hours per day and 6 hours per week but what should be done if it gets extended ?
waiting for your valuable guidance
Thanks and Regards,
Trupti

Dear Hardik,
Thank you for the attachment. I referred Goa shop and Establishment Act book and devised OT policy for our company.
But I wanted to know if we can exceed the allowed OT Hours. for example : if permissible OT Hours is 6 hours a week, what if employees OT Exceeds more then that? of course we are paying them for all OT Hours.
Regards,
Trupti
