If it is central government, any government concern for that matter, u wont have any problem. are u not signing any voucher or register? if that is done then fine. moreover for daily basis, i dont think pay slip will be given.

yes i do sign on my register, I dont have any probs with the payslip , I am on payroll, but just for my info tht how my salary has been calculated i needed the payslip..

Have they not mentioned in ur offer letter/ appointment order about the salary break? if it be case that there are discrepancies in ur salary every month, because of which you require a Pay-slip, then try claiming it from ur accountant. In my case, they are asking y do we need a payslip? Even after we tried explaining, they still give the same reply. so am trying out other ways. if any thing works out, i'll let u know.

labour laws expressly stipulate that an employee must receive his salary slip/ details least a day in advance before the salary is disbursed.
otherwise the whole matter of wages becomes more like a lottery, employees making wil guesses..
