Hi All,
I am working in a software organization from last 1.4 years. At the time of my joining my EPF account was not opened due to some reason but now i wants to open the my EPF account. Can the organisation have authority to open my EPF account whereas I have no EPF account in my previous companies.
Thanks & Regards

Actually according to Some IT Companies ,they are not ready to open EPF A/c for their employees by considering those working period & Level .... bcoz most of us quiet their job very easily within that proposing period. and even there r some companies ready to pay the penalty amount to current employer for a employee who is very opt to them.
Actually we are facing these type of problem from some guys..i think ur HR dept may be work on this same feeling . So u just go and confirm with them,
Have a nice day..

Mukesh Kumar,
Listen brother there is no provision of the company to withhold the EPF account or to start it. You must understand that EPF is an Act and which says that every employee who has at the time of joining the establishment ( in your case IT company) less then 6500 basic must be a member of the EPF.
Now there is no definition in the act of time condition of work ( i.e. on temporary or permanent). Only trainee are not covered under the EPF act.
Stay Cool,
