Dear All,
I had worked for 2 years in some company and quit it ...Again changing the domain i joined as an intern in some company for a lesser stipend ...during the course of internship i got a better offer from a very good company for a decent salary.I informed the company that i will be ending the internship with them stating the original reason...but these people taking advantage of the situation started harassing me for giving the relieving letter for staying 2 months with them...They even demanded a huge sum of money for the letter...dear friends should i wait for their letter or talk to my new company about this(in new company i have mentioned that i was with this company) ....please reply back as soon as possible ....
thanks,
Ajit.

This is a bad HR practice from your present company. Therefore, do not compromise to say the stand of the HR to the new employer. If the new employer is convinced, you can join without relieving letter. After joining you can submit form 13 for transfer of PF which will substantiate your service with the company.
