My father was a central govt. employee and was expired on 30.03.2004. He had a total service of 19 years 8 Months and 22 days. His last drawn salary was Rs.7004/-
Let me know the computation of death gratuity.

Regret to see that you have not yet received your father's gratuity though it is almost six years. You may please take up the matter with the government department itself because the calculation of gratuity being discussed in this forum is mainly as per Payment of Gratuity Act and is applicable to private sector employees. For government servants separate set of rules is available.
Hope you may get some inputs from others in this forum itself.

Dear Sha. calculation will be as under, if Basic is Rs.7004 7004/26x300-day’s = Rs.80,815/- only. Days = 19 yrs.8 month’s( more than 6 month will be assumed 1 year) = 20 years
