Dear all,
I'm working in MID level Software Company for the past one year.Few weeks back a guy forwarded his resume to my mail ID and due to vacant in my company relevant to his profile,i called him up and conducted the interview process and he joined into our company. My HR Lead working in this company for the past three years went in one month medical leave and returned at the similar date of his joining. She had a meet with that new joinee. After that she said to me that the new joinee may worked into our company in prior and absconded without any intimation. She said this in a doubtful manner and when we checked the old database that guy was joined and worked for very few days only into our company on 2007 and absconded. At the time of interview also he put out this information from my sight. After we found this and when we enquired him he is telling some invalid reasons.Kindly let me know what my next action wants to be?
Please suggest me
Regards,
Mukunthan

hi, have a frank talk with the guy. check why and where he left.
suggestion may look outlandish - if the guy is a good trained hand, have him but keep an eye on him (don't make it look obvious). just let him know that his performance will be strictly evaluated and what has gone before will weigh against him if he commits any mischevious act. put him on probation, keep monitoring and unless and until satisfied fully, don't confirm him.
of course the best option would be to send him out. the choice is yours
