I am working in a big MNC since last 6 months. Previously I was working in a very small organization with a very low salary. So that I was also doing freelancing job. Now after joining new MNC I did not do any moonlight work. One month ago a known person joined this present MNC & told my manager that in past I did freelancing jobs. Now what will happen? Does my present company take any action against me? (That person even don't know my part time company name. There was no PF account. Only know that I did some freelancing work.) Is my present job in danger? Will they terminate?

Hi,

Why so much assumptions?

You did freelancing before joining current employer and currently you are working for the MNC. What you did is past and currently you are not doing any part time work. So nothing to worry. They will not terminate you for your past freelancing work. Your current MNC will be concerned about your current activity only.

The only people that can answer questions about your current employment is the company themselves.

None of us work for your company so we cannot possibly tell you what they might think or do.

So long as you have not withheld any relevant information regarding your background check, and the fact that you have been employed for 6 months so far, it would appear there are no problems. In the meantime tell your friends to keep their mouths firmly closed in relation to personal matters.
