Hello, For one of our employees Pension contributions will not attract as he has more than 15,000 at his first employment, He joined our company and we are contributing employer share in both Pension and pf by erroneously and we didn't get any error while filing the returns.

Now the employee asked to transfer the Pension portion to the PF portion, so we applied to the PF office for the correction.

After several reminders and visits to the PF office, they send us the letter to file the arrears return as follows

"YOU ARE DIRECTED TO FILE ONLINE NECESSARY ARREAR ECRS TOWARDS EMPLOYERS SHARE OF PROVIDENT FUND CONTRIBUTIONS FOR THE PERIOD AND GENERATE CHALLANS MONTH WISE, FURTHER SUBMIT SOFT COPIES OF THE ARREAR MONTHS ECR AND CHALLANS"

Now my doubt is, Already we have paid the Employee and Employer portion while filing original returns, Again they are asking to generate challans with Arrear ECR, which means we are paying double time.

Please guide us on how to proceed further and if anyone knows please explain how to correct the Employer portion (pension and PF) online without visiting the PF office.
