Be very clear Disha, whatever be the employee title, be it Daily Wage Worker or casual or consolidated wages, PF & ESI are statutory compliances and have to be complied from day one of employment. Even if you outsource the activity, as the Principal Employer you are liable to ensure compliance by the contractor. Still if you are keen to avoid them, the suggestion is to keep the salary above the statutory ceiling (i.e., >Rs. 21,000/- as of now).

I am in total agreement with Mr. KKHR. Just to save few rupees the organization may land up in very critical conditions in case of any unfortunate event or circumstances.
Suggest not to avoid statutory compliance through short cuts as this will lead to unforeseen situations.
