Good Day ! I am a Mumbai based Micro Enterprise in Marine Repairs just restarting after pandemic and 2nd bout of Cancer. Kindly advise the following : 1. What area would constitute as " Outstation" ? ; 2. Currently have no employees on rolls..want to keep all staff on " Contract" for 2 years with probationary period of 6 months - is that legally acceptable ? Thanks in advance

You can consider the area beyond Mumbai Municipality Corporation (Urban Mumbai) as outstation. In general a remote or outlying station which roughly far-off point from your place which cant be reached at a call and take substantial time to reach over 6 hours so.
You can keep all staffs on " Contract" for 2 years with probationary period of 6 months having no legal issue but the terms of appointment should be well defined without ambiguity.
